The Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays softball team has enjoyed success early in this season. When the last softball rankings came out (May 27th) the Bluejays went from obscurity to targeted.
The Bluejays burst into the rankings, ranked 5th in the Class 2-A standings where they were previously unranked. Now just a few weeks later the Bluejays are on the move again this time moving all the way up to 3rd.
Hannah Baker leads the charge at the plate for the Bluejays with a team-high .378 batting average, while Dacia Miller has hit TWO homeruns and has pitched lights out so far this year. Miller has a 0.69 ERA (Earned Run Average) in 71 innings pitched and has struck out 89 batters while only walking two.
Tonight the Bluejays square off at home against Woodward-Granger in a make-up game. First pitch is at 7:30PM
While excellerating up the Class 2-A rankings the Bluejays are this week's KCCI's "Team Of The Week."
