With the 2009 State Softball Tournament in full force, it’s easy to say that ALL of the teams could be KCCI’s “Team Of The Week.”
One team (believe it or not) does stand out of the crowd. They are in Class 2-A and it is the BCL-UW Comets. The Comets are making just their second state tournament appearance, but picked up a BIG win over Wilton in the quarterfinals 2-1.
BCL-UW has a very young squad (they will return all of their starters NEXT year) and they are led by twins, Jamie and Nicole Fisher.
Jamie is 33-2 on the mound this year and Nicole leads the team in homeruns with 6.
