This week's KCCI's Iowa Beef "Athlete Of The Week" might come as a surprise to football fans across central Iowa. No, this week's athlete is NOT a football player.
Riley Norman, a senior outside hitter at Des Moines Roosevelt is dominating this fall on the volleyball court. Norman has 251 kills in just 47 games this year! That averages out to 5.34 kills/game (not per match, but per GAME).
Norman has helped the Roughriders to an 11-6 record to open the season. With her all-conference/state performance to begin the 2009 season, Norman is this week's Iowa Beef "Athlete Of The Week."
