Greatest Moments

report notes | more reports

Just wanted to get a discussion started regarding anyones greatest Lenox High School moment.  This can be anything whether scholastically, extra-curricular activity one participates/has participated in or just being a fan or graduate of the school.

I will start off, one of my greatest moments was witnessing the 2006 Class 1-A Baseball Championship Team lead by Coach Steve Westphal.  In my mind this was a case where everyone on the team had a part in making it all happen...great pitching followed with timely hitting and great defense, a combination of everything.  It was very magical to watch it all come together for this team and even more so for Coach Westphal who had been the state tournament several times before, all witnessed except the very first one.  I was fortunate enough to watch all these games and take several pictures during the tournament.  I even have foul ball from the semifinal game versus Wall Lake View Auburn signed by the players and coaches, which I truly cherish and cannot thank them enough for this gesture.  There was a lot of talent on this team and everyone fulfilled their role and worked hard to make it happen.  Hopefully, there is another run like this in the future.

Go Tigers!
