There were a lot of GREAT performances on the gridiron to start the 2010 High School football season! It's hard to argue with that somebody had a more efficient evening last Friday night than Nate Wilmes of Carlisle.
Wilmes rushed the ball only 8 times for 179 yards and 2 touchdowns! That ends up being 22.4 yards gained per carry!
Not only did Wilmes have an outstanding performance, but he did so in a rivalry game, making his Friday night that more impressive.
Wilmes led Carlisle past Pleasantville in the Highway 5 rivalry game by a final score of 42-20, making him this week's Iowa Beef High School Playbook "Athlete Of The Week."
If you think someone on your team deserves to be honored as Iowa Beef "Athlete Of The Week" e-mail us at sports@kcci.com and tell us why!!
