Ames is more than just Harrison, i go to ames high and i am tired of hearing on all of the news stations and radio stations things like "waukee vs harrison barnes" "(school) vs Harrison barnes and company" basketball is a team sport and harrison is a team player. if your gonna post an ames vid please post something like ames featuring harrison barnes vs waukee or somerthing along the lines of that

If Harrison Barnes wasn't on your team you wouldn't be anywhere close to the post season. I dont know why your complaining that you have one of the top players in the country on your team. Just be happy that he's even on your team while he is.
I agree, Ames is more than Harrison Barnes. Ames has a great team and I think they could be a top 10 team even without Harrison because of all the great players and coaches on Ames. The reason I put together a video soley featuring Harrison is because Andy Garman already shot highlights of the Ames-Waukee game and they are on the website, so I felt like there isn't a need for two videos showing the same content. Harrison is a very rare and special player, along with being an outstanding student. I was blown away with what he did against a pretty good Waukee team. As you saw in the video and have seen before, he can do it all. He showcased what he could do, and put it all together in one game. Palo and McDermott also had great games and they are a reason why Ames is the best team in the state. If we didn't already have highlights of the game on the site, then I would've put together a video with highlights of both teams from the game. Hopefully you now understand why I put this video together and enjoy watching a team that could go down as the best team in Iowa in a decade!
I could not disagree more with the previous poster. The only reason I get on here is to look at some Harrison highlights. Yes, Ames is good thats why there are always in the friday night highlights. Harrison is a once in a lifetime talent to come from Iowa and he is under recognized. You go on Youtube and there are a million videos of all the other top talents Royce White, Rodney Williams, etc and very few of Harrison. Thank you for compiiing those highlights you did a great job and I hope to see more.
I'm guessing your a fan of harrison and not of the ames team itself. your one of those fans who leaves in the 3rd quater when harrison goes to sit down? see that is what i dont like. i go to ames high games to see the basketball team play the actual team not just a player and i have to get there an hour and 45 min early just to get a seat because ISU students and random other people go to games just to see harrison, nothing against harrison hes a great player and im glad hes on our team but people are over looking the fact that he has a great supporting cast. And i also think it shows a lack of respect to the ames high team when harrison sits in the third quarter that people file out.
J S Don�t think many will join your pity party. I too, come to this site to see highlights of Harrison and attend Ames High games at home and on the road for the same reason. Don�t know what your beef is or if you are new to following athletics, but on any team there is always one that will put butts in the seats and for the next two years that will be Harrison Barnes for Ames High Boys basketball. If you haven�t noticed he�s the face of Ames High. Hoiberg was, Arnaud was, and now it�s Barnes. It�s almost comical how UNSELFISH of a player Barnes is and he�s a class act all the way. There is no doubt that Barnes is all about team. Rather than complaining you should appreciate the attention your school is getting not only in Iowa but also on the national level- whenever he get ink AMES HIGH (Iowa) is attached. You can go on to say that every venue the kid plays in is also benefiting. I attended the Waukee game and it was absolutely packed in there, and yes, when Barnes took his seat the place cleared out. My advice to you is enjoy it while you can because in two years you won�t have your stated problems. KCCI Playbook- thank you for the footage. iowa state really needs to get harrison to revive hilton magic. with the talent that the cyclones have coming in in the next few years and hopefully the addition of mr. barnes the cyclones will be on of the top teams in the big12 and a good contender in the ncaa tourny. watch out for the cyclones in the upcoming years!!
