After a certain amount of time, a club sport must be transformed into a varsity sport, and be sanctioned by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. For boys, this is the last year it will be a club sport, and next year, they will have to be sanctioned and become a club sport. Ms. Tickel is the moderator for the team. In the past, anyone, parents included, could be a coach, but now that it is a sanctioned sport it must be a sanctioned teacher or coach. Ms. Tickel has bowled since she was five, and loved it. She didn’t think she had the thime, but this year, now that they need a sanctioned teacher, she thought she would help out. Try-outs are November 10th and 11th for both Boys and Girls at Val Lanes ant 3:45. Approximately six of the girls will be Varsity and six will be on JV.
